A List of Thanksgivings

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. ~ James 1:17

I am thankful to have stewardship over two beautiful, joyful, energetic little people.

I am thankful to have a kind, selfless and thoughtful husband – who is this way, not just to me, but to the many people we come into contact with.

I am thankful that I have ready access to the word of God – in paper form, in digital form, in audio form.

I am thankful for a rich treasure trove of spiritual resources – Christian books, hymns, recorded audio sermons, notes from Bible classes, and so on.

I am thankful that God always has time to listen to me, no matter what time of day or night, no matter how badly I have failed him. He lets me draw close to his beautiful, humbling, and comforting presence.

I am thankful for my material wealth – I have a warm house, a roof that keeps off rain and wind, a dishwasher, a washing machine and dryer, enough food, clean drinking water, and working plumbing – not to mention a host of other things (toys, books, puzzles, a laptop, internet, journals, pens, cards, photographs, etc.)

I am thankful for springtime – for the reminder of God through His sunshine and rain, the flowers that keep blooming, the trees that burst into bud, the greenness of the ground.

I am thankful that my God is sovereign. He holds my future just as surely, just as wisely, just as lovingly, today as he did two days ago, two weeks ago, and even two decades ago.

May I continue to trust in Him, not just today but always.

Prov 3 56

Thank you for continuing to encourage us through your wonderful thoughts and words.

I am not a great writer, but I appreciate you sharing with us these words of encouragement. Especially during these difficult times.

    God bless,
