The list could go on forever

  • Hurtful words
  • People who refuse to listen
  • The clutter of a chaotic schedule
  • Pain
  • Difficult personalities
  • Having to deal with consequences of others’ poor choices

The list could go on forever.

  • Getting to stay home and be with my kids
  • Having a husband who loves me well
  • Access to a God who always listens, no matter what time of day
  • The clear, deep well of scripture
  • The love of good friends
  • The hope of heaven
  • Flowers nodding in the breeze
  • God’s grace (still!) for me

The list could go on forever.

Sometimes, the question is not “is it true” but rather, where will I set my eyes? Where will I focus my gaze?

Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things;
and give me life in your ways
. Psalms 119:37

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace
